On some occasions, clients have reported to us that calls do not sound choppy. When we entered to support it we noticed two common characteristics:
- Insufficient bandwidth for the volume of calls you have.
- Abuse in the number of Tenants and Extensions which causes the CPU to become saturated and not be able to handle the volume of calls.
To check the bandwidth, we recommend the following command:
Install speedtest-cli
apt install speedtest-cli
Run the following command :
speedtest-cli
If you have a very high ping or your bandwidth is less than 20 megabytes of upload or download, you are definitely in trouble.
We recommend looking for cloud server suppliers that for a few dollars guarantee us more than 100 megabytes of upload and download.
