  • What are your recommended SoftPhone devices?

    VitalPBX works with any device that uses standard SIP/PJSIP. We don’t focus on specific brands, so you can choose any you desire. We do have our own clients, like the VitalPBX Communicator 14 or VitXi 14, but you are not obligated to use these.

  • How to reset VitalPBX, Sonata Suite Products and VitXi WebRTC password (VitalPBX 3)?

    Connect to your server console and run the following command:

    VitalPBX GUI

    [root@vitalpbx ]# vitalpbx --reset-pwd {user}

    Immediately after, enter the explorer and type the new password.

    Sonata Stats

    [root@vitalpbx ]# cd /usr/share/sonata/queues-stats/backend/
    [root@vitalpbx backend]# php artisan reset:password {user}

    Sonata Billing

    [root@vitalpbx ]# cd /usr/share/sonata/billing/

  • What are the minimum hardware specifications to install VitalPBX 4?
    • The Minimum Specs would be:
      • 2 Core CPU at 2.2GHz
      • 4 GB of RAM
      • 50GB of Storage
    • To give you an exact set of specifications would be very difficult, since there are too many variables to consider, like how many concurrent calls you expect to have, how many of them are being recorded, are you compressing the calls , with G729 for example? So for this, we have created an article that talks about this.   • How do I install VitalPBX onto my own hardware?

    There are two ways to install VitalPBX on your own hardware:

    • Download the VitalPBX ISO
    • Installing from a Scripts

    1.- Download the VitalPBX ISO

    Download Balena Etcher to copy the ISO to a USB: https://etcher.balena.io/

    2.- Installing from a Scripts

  • How to Migrate from VitalPBX 3 to VitalPBX 4?

    Migrating from VitalPBX 3 to VitalPBX 4 can seem like a daunting task, but with the help of the Backup and Restore module, the process can be simplified. Here are the steps you need to follow to make the transition to VitalPBX 4 as seamless as possible:

    • Install VitalPBX 4 on a new server.
    • Install the add-ons that you are using on VitalPBX 3.
    • Complete the wizard of add-ons like Switchboard, Recordings, Stats, Dialer, etc.
    • Update your VitalPBX 3 to the latest version.
    • Get a backup of your VitalPBX 3.
    • Release the license from your VitalPBX 3.
    • Turn off your VitalPBX 3 Server to avoid issues related to trunk connectivity during the migration.
    • Activate the license in your VitalPBX 4 Server.
    • Import the Backup from v3 to your VitalPBX 4.

    By following these steps, you can successfully migrate from VitalPBX 3 to VitalPBX 4 using the Backup and Restore module.
